As a self supporting band we are continually looking to raise funds to enable the band to progress. If you are interested in getting involved to support please get in touch
Band Practices
The band practices are on 2 days a week, each with a different focus.
Monday Night Learners Classes
Our chanter and drumming classes are held on a Monday night and ran by our experinaced tutors Our claases are open to anyone ages 8+, lessons are £5 per month with your first month free.
- 18:30-19:15 Chanter practice and lessons
- 19:15-19:45 Drumming practice and lessons (Side Drum and Tenor)
Monday Night Grade 4 Band Practice
The Grade 4 band practice is held every Monday night from 7:15pm to 21:15 in our premises at Panbride Works, Arbroath Road, Carnoustie, DD7 6JR.
The format of the band practice follows:
- 19:15 Grade 4 band members arrive at band hall
- 19:15-19:30 Band practice with pipes & drums, including intermediate learners
- 19:30-20:45 Full Grade 4 competion band practice with pipes and drums
- 20:45-21:00 Band chanter / drum pad practice
- 21:00-21:15 Tidy-up and lock-up
Tursday Night Grade 3 Band Practice
The Grade 3 senior band practice is held every Thursday night from 7:15pm to 21:15 in our premises at Panbride Works, Arbroath Road, Carnoustie, DD7 6JR.
The format of the band practice follows:
- 19:15 Grade 3 band members arrive at band hall
- 19:15-19:45 Group chanter / drum pad practice
- 19:45-21:00 Full Grade 3 competion band practice with pipes and drums
- 21:00-21:15 Band chanter / drum pad practice
- 21:15 Tidy-up and lock-up
Additional Practice
On the run up to competitions the band wolds additional practices on a Sunday normally one per month. The week before a major compatition the G3 band will also practice on Monday night.
